An AI- Integrated Premium Marketing Planner

Launched an AI-driven marketing calendar designed to simplify and expedite the creation, scheduling, and publishing of social posts, ads, and emails. Here, GPT is incorporated for automatic caption generation, while strategically curating upcoming dates of interest and themed posts based on user data. This makes it the premiere calendar tool, personalizing the posting strategy for each customer.

I was part of the DIY Marketing(DIY+M) Team at GoDaddy where our focus was on enhancing the Social Posts table experience, assisting users in tracking their posting cadence and tactics, and incorporating AI and machine learning into social content.

During a four-week safari with the DIY+M team, we implemented numerous features to make the social posts page more legible and efficient. Our objective was to bridge the gap between information overload and increased customer retention through automation.

The core aspects of the project I will focus on here include:

  • Guiding users in developing posting patterns and strategies

  • Instant caption generation through automation

Challenge

The current 'Social Posts' app had a cluttered interface, making it difficult for users to navigate and find essential features. Users were facing issues with content creation and management, which was affecting new user adoption rates. The app lacked personalization and customization options for each business owner, making it less engaging and user-friendly.

Alongside, users got stuck from time to time of not able to create content natively within the platform that kept them hoping between other tools that had automation integrated.

With these pain points identified that hindered retention, we looked into possibilities of not only how to resolve the pain points but how can we elevate the overall experience.

Results

The redesigned app features a sleek, clutter-free interface, with a clear posting cadence overlaid in a calendar format- making it easier for users to navigate and access essential features. The view can be switched between calendar and list view for flexibility.

Users posted 23% more than they did in the prior month due to the implementation of a tailored posting strategy and automated captions.

This inclusion of personalization and customization features enhanced user engagement, leading to a 15% increase in daily traffic and 35%+ boost in post publishes.

This calendar allows me to focus on the distribution of tasks throughout the month, and gives clues with the icons about what each task will do. I also like the way it aligns the days of the week with the tasks in a clear visual design so I can see when there will be more resources needed and plan my time the same way I do with a normal calendar.
